Hi, I’m Divya.
I work on how new technology gets adopted.
There's one question I keep coming back to: why do technologies that already work take so long to show up in the world? My working answer is that the bottleneck is usually people. The founder, the buyer, the investor and the regulator who need each other rarely end up at the same table. So I set the table.
I started as an electronics engineer (in 2017 I was training game-playing agents on GitHub off MIT's open AI courses), did a master's at ESSEC, then spent years inside the Paris innovation ecosystem: Hello Tomorrow, Station F, the ESSEC incubator and four VivaTechs.
Today I work independently with startups, corporates and investors. On the side, I make futures games that let people feel a near-future economy before they have to live in it.

English & French.
French was my fifth language; I hold a DALF C1 diploma. I also speak Hindi, Gujarati and Marwari.
I began learning Marwari at eleven, to help keep a fading part of my heritage alive. Gujarati came at eighteen, while I was living in Gujarat.
Art, humour & curiosity.
I paint, perform stand-up, read, and host Climate Conversations with Divya. This site makes room for those parts of me, too.
